The cataclysmic and calamitous results of The Revolution in Iran
The United States (Jimmy Carter) intentionally betrayed The Pahlavi Regime and Iran when: The Shah provided valuable Oil to them for decades and decades...The relationship between the two was extremely amicable ("don't try to fix something that isn't broken")....The world was a much safer place...
...Iran and Israel were allies...Iran was flourishing and becoming increasingly modernized...with an array of other extremely important and blossoming endeavors.
I am still baffled about the foolish and senseless actions of The United States. Why did they assist and plan the overthrowing (their so called ally and friend), The Shah of Iran, in order to fly Ayatollah Khomeini to Iran from Paris.
Why is The United States so often involved in such corrupt and damaging state of affairs? Iran and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi were collaborators with the U.S. What an abrupt change when they did stop the Revolution, but had a hand in it's demolition when they decided foolishly to support and bring into fruition the Revolution that created the present Islamic Republic government.
What a swift change and realization that the U.S caused and created a monster that not immediately demonstrated their intense animosity for the U.S when they took the American hostages from the US Embassy and chanted, "Margh bar Amrica!" (Death to America), before and after this historically incongruous turn of events.
Now fast forward to not so distant and present world.
I truly believe that IF The US had not caused the destruction of the Iranian Monarchy.....there would never have been the sardonic destruction of the Twin Towers on 9/11 2001...Al-Qaeda ...the change of relations with Iran under the present government...and all of the other terrorist groups that cause havoc in the world today. They cherry pick verses from the Qur'an, and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad to justify their brutal actions. Islam strongly prohibits the killing of a person without any legal/justified reason. In recent decades, incidents of Islamic terrorism have occurred on a global scale. (Please note that I am only referring to terrorists that have stemmed from the Middle East.)
In the case of 9/11, the irony is astounding. It appears that the U.S is being prodigiously burned by one of their actions in Iran in 1979.
This brief article only touches lightly on the events that forever changed world.
There are so many other results and factors that came and come into play in this caustic and insidious turn of events.
Sometimes individuals and governments believe that if they change their positions on someone, something or some place...with the intention of benefitting on a greater, not to mention self seeking and selfish scale...the result is karmic, paradoxical and ultimately calamitous.
